WHAT IS A LIBRARY OF
THINGS?
LoTs usually have an environmental ethos, as the nature of
lending items reduces the carbon impact of these items, and
that of the community as a whole. There are many ways your
LoT can encourage carbon-saving activities. This can be
through carbon awareness events, explaining the positive
impact of training (leading to fewer items going to landfill, the
power of reuse, growing your won food, and active travel).
A LoT can be an extremely powerful and positive
addition to any community.
