RUNNING TRAINING SESSIONS IN

Wood reuse
Furniture and Crafts: Salvaged or reclaimed wood can be
transformed into new furniture pieces, such as tables, chairs,
shelves, or cabinets. It can also be used for crafting projects,
such as picture frames, decorative items, or artistic
installations.
Participants can learn to identify different types of wood
species commonly used in construction and furniture. They can
develop knowledge of wood characteristics, such as grain
patterns, color variations, and durability, which is essential for
assessing the suitability of salvaged wood for specific projects.
Participants can learn various joinery techniques used in
woodworking, such as mortise and tenon, dovetail, or tongue
and groove joints. These techniques are important for
connecting wood pieces securely during construction or
furniture making.
